Collaborating with parents and community in a bilingual setting, we empower students to develop their personal road to success while fostering accountability, integrity, and self-esteem
Notre mission / Our Mission Statement
Our purpose is to provide a safe, nurturing and cooperative environment that will guide and encourage each individual: to develop mind and body to full potential; to foster respect for school, home and community; to foster respect for self, others, and for concern of others; to enjoy and take pride in learning, belonging, achieving and caring. These goals are promoted in a setting dedicated to providing a full education in both official Canadian language

Bus Applications for 2016-2017
Bus applications are now available in the office as well as on the school website (see right side of website). For students in grades 7 & 8, busing is on a purchase seat basis. Payment of 10 post-dated cheques for $44.00/month (2-way transportation) or $22.00/month (1-way), dated for the first of each month and made payable to Ecole Golden Gate Middle School is to accompany the application. If there is more than one child riding, the second child (and all subsequent children) will ride for half the amount that the first child is paying. If payment is not received, then the application for transportation will not
be processed by the Transportation Department.
It is of the utmost importance that the busing application and post-dated cheques are received before the end of March. Applications received after April 30th or at the beginning of the new school year may not be processed until later September or early October. If you have any questions, please call the school at 204-837-5808.
*Please note - Purchase seat applications do not guarantee a seat on the bus.
*Please note the price change in next year's fee.

Winter is here! Please review the information below with regards to bus cancellations.
Metro superintendents check the weather in the morning and make a determination as to whether or not buses are cancelled for the day in the Metro area. -45 degrees Celsius or colder (with windchill) and or severe snowstorms are a couple of the determining factors. Once a decision is made to cancel school buses, a synrevoice message will then be sent out to parents and principals. The news media is also alerted to cancellations and Division websites are updated to reflect any announcement. Parents of bussed students can then determine whether or not they want to send/drive their children to school.
Visit our school blog for daily announcements, school and athletics calendars and special events.
